Can Somebody Explain The Difference Between Biweekly and Bimonthly??
#1
The difference in the words biweekly and bimonthly is largely based on the number of times that payments should be made in a year.

Employees have bi weekly pay schedule, meaning that they earn payment after every two weeks, and hence 26 pay periods in a year. This routine is regular 14 days of the week, no matter the month.

Comparatively, bimonthly pay implies that the employees receive salaries twice monthly on a particular day, typically on the 1st or 15 th day or last day of the month. Due to this structure, 24 pay periods are experienced every year.

It is significant to know the difference between biweekly and bimonthly to manage payroll and budget, and to determine the expectations of employees. Whereas biweekly pay has a few more pay cycles per year than bimonthly pay, the bimonthly pay has more predictable pay dates based on the calendar.
