Try analyzing high-scoring sample essays and compare structure, coherence, and vocabulary with your own work. While taking your weekly IELTS practice test, focus on Task Response and Lexical Resource. After finishing, use an IELTS band score calculator to estimate your writing band and track which criteria pull your score down. Improving those areas can help you move from 6.5 to 7+.
