How does the NER Assessment work?
#1
Engineers Australia is the peak body that holds the NER Assessment. This NER assessment goes through the 5 step process:
  • Creating an account in the member portal
  • Completing the online self-assessment form to rate oneself against the NER competencies and apply for NER
  • Getting two relevant referees who can verify one’s latest work experience
  • Having an NER interview with the qualified Engineers Australia assessor
  • Receiving outcome notification, and if successful, one will be added to NER.
The NER assessment procedure generally takes 3-4 months. Read more at Australia CDR Help.
