Hi all, just a quick story about my first solo trip to Bangkok. I was super anxious about the money situation because I’d heard horror stories about people getting short-changed or paying ridiculous fees. I wanted to be prepared so I wouldn’t have to worry about it at all once I landed. I found this really neat tool that facilitates a money exchange from dollar to thai baht and I decided to try it out with a small amount first. I was so impressed with the smooth process and the competitive rate that I went ahead and did the rest of my budget through them. Walking around Bangkok with my baht already sorted was such a relief. I wasn't that tourist frantically looking for an exchange booth at 11 PM with all my heavy bags, which is a nightmare scenario. Instead, I was able to grab a cab and get to my hostel without any hassle. It completely took the stress out of the arrival process, and I felt so much more secure knowing exactly how much money I had.
