Hi everyone,
I’m seriously considering pursuing FCPS Haematology and would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences from those who are currently in training or have completed it. I’m particularly interested in how competitive the program is, what the workload is like, and which institutions in Pakistan offer the best training—so far, I’ve heard good things about NIBD Karachi, Aga Khan University Hospital, and Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP). How is the balance between clinical work and academics? Are the FCPS Part I and II exams particularly challenging in haematology compared to other disciplines? Also, if anyone has suggestions on recommended books, study strategies, or how to approach research and thesis work in this specialty, I’d be grateful for your input.
