P*nile cancer occurs when abnormal cells in the p*nis begin to divide and grow uncontrollably. The p*nis is the male s*xual organ. It is part of the urinary and reproductive system. It has a tube called the urethra that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body and s*men (sp*rm) from the testicles.
The root is the base of the p*nis and is located inside the body. From there, it extends outward. It is suspended in front of a sac of skin called the scrotum. The scrotum houses both testicles.
The parts of the p*nis are:
Some men undergo a surgical procedure called circumcision to remove the foreskin.
The p*nis is composed of several types of tissue, including skin, muscle, and nerves. It has a rich blood supply. During s*xual arousal, blood flow to the p*nis increases. Columns of special muscle tissue in the shaft of the p*nis (erectile tissue) fill with blood.
