Range Rover shaking at idle in Musaffah, is it a big repair or a small one? - eltonjohn - 11-07-2026

Last Sunday I was sitting at a red light near my office and my Range Rover started shaking like a washing machine. The needle on the dash was jumping up and down, and then a little engine light came on. I got scared and drove straight home with my hands tight on the wheel. The car is a 2014 model and I got it from a friend who was leaving the country, so I do not have the full history. I use it every day to drive from Mussafah to the city, and I cannot be without it for long. My neighbour said it is probably the spark plugs, but my cousin said it could be the air suspension or something worse, and I honestly do not know which one to believe. I tried reading online to learn more, and one page talked about the top Range Rover mechanics in Musaffah, but it did not help me understand the actual problem, so I am still confused. What I want to know is how a normal person can tell a small problem from a big one. Is shaking at idle usually something simple like plugs or a dirty part, or can it mean the engine is in trouble? The shaking stopped after about ten minutes of driving, so I wonder if that means something. Also, should I keep driving until I fix it, or is it better to park it right away? I do not want to damage the engine more. Another thing is the check light. Some people told me to just clear it with a cheap reader and see if it comes back. Is that smart, or will it hide the problem? I also heard that bad fuel can cause this. I filled up at a cheaper station last week, so maybe that is the reason. Has anyone had this happen after bad petrol? How long did it take to get better? When you go to a garage, how do you explain a problem like this so they do not just guess? I do not want to pay for new parts that I did not need. If you had the same thing with your Range Rover, please tell me what it was and how much you paid. Thanks everyone, I will read every reply tonight.
