Can I Convert Thunderbird MBOX Files to Outlook PST? - willjacks12 - 11-06-2026
Thunderbird stores mailbox messages in MBOX format, whereas Outlook commonly uses PST files for importing and managing archived mailbox data. Because these formats have different structures, you need an intermediate conversion process.
First, locate the Thunderbird profile directory and identify the required MBOX files. Create a backup of the mailbox before making any changes. Next, use a compatible MBOX-to-PST conversion method to prepare the data for Outlook.
MacSonik MBOX to PST Converter is one option for converting Thunderbird mailbox files into PST format. During the process, select the required mailbox files and review their contents before exporting.
Once conversion is complete, open Outlook and use its import functionality to load the generated PST file. Check important folders, message dates, and attachments to confirm that the migration was successful.
