Managed Hosting Recommendations? - Vampiric Addiction - 06-12-2026 Our SaaS is starting to grow and we're spending more time dealing with server issues than building features. We've had a couple of outages this year and traffic spikes are becoming a problem. How are you guys handling infrastructure without hiring a full-time DevOps engineer? RE: Managed Hosting Recommendations? - Maddev - 06-12-2026 The outage problem usually comes down to not having proper auto-scaling set up, so when traffic spikes the server just chokes instead of spinning up more capacity. A lot of teams at that stage end up going with a managed Kubernetes setup or leaning on something like AWS ECS so the infrastructure handles itself without someone watching it 24/7. The key is getting monitoring and alerting solid enough that you're not finding out about problems from angry users. RE: Managed Hosting Recommendations? - Tramz - 06-12-2026 Honestly hiring a full-time DevOps at this stage is overkill unless you've got the runway for it, most early-stage SaaS teams don't need someone in that seat yet. There are managed hosting services that basically take the ops burden off your plate entirely. For example, you can use this managed cloud hosting: https://digihostapp.com/services/cloud-hosting . They handle the scaling, uptime and infrastructure side of things so your team can stay focused on actually shipping features. Worth looking at what's included before you start building out your own setup from scratch. |
