Looking for a reliable car rental in Barcelona - Eslaff - 03-31-2026
I've got urgent business matters that just came up in Barcelona, and I need to fly out the day after tomorrow. The timing is terrible but there's no way around it. Since I'll be running all over the city practically 24/7 to sort everything out as quickly as possible, I want to arrange a rental car in advance. Which rental companies should I consider there, and what kind of vehicle would work best for driving around Barcelona?

Barcelona traffic can get pretty intense during rush hours, in the narrow streets of the old town it gets even worse. Parking is another challenge, some areas have strict zones where you need permits or can only park for limited time. A compact car makes life much easier when you're squeezing into tight spots or navigating those medieval streets that weren't designed for modern vehicles.

You'll be doing a lot of driving so comfort matters too, cramped seats get exhausting after a full day behind the wheel. The roads themselves are generally in good condition but the city layout takes some getting used to with all the roundabouts and one-way systems.
