Hello everyone.

I’m looking into how training platforms implement the laser dry fire app concept and wanted to understand the technology behind it. How do these apps detect and register a laser pulse accurately using just a smartphone camera? 

Are they leveraging computer vision frameworks like OpenCV, or do they rely on proprietary detection algorithms? I’m also wondering how they handle variables such as frame rate, ambient lighting, or sensor limitations across different devices. 

From a developer’s perspective, what challenges exist in making these apps responsive and reliable? 

Any insights from software or hardware engineers would be greatly appreciated.
